Supply, Installation, Service & Maintenance for Industrial Operator Cabins

CleanCab Air Filtration

Cabin Clean Air Filtration

Keeping your operators safe.

Dust, fibres, silica, asbestos particles, and other airborne contaminants are a daily reality across heavy industry. Asset Armour supplies, installs, and maintains CleanCab cabin air filtration systems for vehicles and fixed cabin environments, keeping your operators breathing clean, safe air and keeping your operation compliant with current Australian standards.

Workplace exposure standards for airborne contaminants were updated in 2024. Asset Armour cabin air filtration systems meet the new ISO 23875:2023 regulations. If your operators work in dusty or hazardous environments, now is the time to ensure your cabins are fitted and compliant.

Who Needs Cabin Air Filtration?

Dangerous airborne contaminants are present across a wide range of industries. Cabin air filtration systems should be considered wherever operators are exposed to dust, fumes, or particulates, including:

  • Construction, earthworks, demolition, insulation handling, concrete mixing, abrasive blasting and welding
  • Mining, silica and fine particulate exposure in enclosed cab environments
  • Manufacturing, welding, grinding, abrasive blasting, material processing (wood, metal, stone)
  • Agriculture, grain handling, pesticides, plant materials and soil handling
  • Transport, material handling including grain, cement, ore, chemicals and sand
  • Waste & Recycling, handling and processing of waste and recyclable materials

For machinery operators exposed to silica and asbestos, a HEPA-filtered pressurised cabin is essential. All cabin access points, including doors, windows, and cabling routes, should be properly sealed to prevent dust ingress. A CleanCab system can be connected and fitted to most cabins that can be made airtight.

CleanCab Filtration Systems

Asset Armour uses CleanCab cabin air filtration units, designed to fit all styles of air conditioning systems and machinery. Units are available in vertical or horizontal configurations with an optional weather protector to guard against physical damage in demanding environments.

How It Works

Air is drawn in through a PowerCore® primary filter by a brushless centrifugal blower motor, then distributed through the base of the unit to the cabin via a 3-inch adapter. The unit’s air outlet can be rotated 90 degrees to suit most vehicles or machinery, and can alternatively be ducted directly to the air conditioning evaporator inlet.

The system works by pressurising the operator cabin, forcing clean HEPA-filtered air into the breathable space. Because internal cabin pressure is higher than the contaminated outside air, any unsealed gaps force air outward rather than allowing contaminants in. The PowerCore® Edge dust removal system can recycle breathable air at up to 110 cubic feet per minute while maintaining correct cabin pressure.

The high-pressure HEPA filtration system meets and exceeds ISO 23875 requirements, providing a clean, safe airflow for operators across all shift conditions.

In-Cabin Display Monitor

Asset Armour installs the ClanCab cabin pressure sensor display, whch provides operators with real-time visibility of their air filtration system status. Industry best practice is to fit a cabin pressure monitor that warns the operator when pressure drops below 20PA or rises above 200PA.

The display unit is easily fitted in any cabin location via a simple 2 & 3-wire connection with one sensor tube to monitor outside air pressure. Automatic Pressure Control is a standard feature of all CleanCab cabin air filtration installations.

Display monitor system features include:

Fan speed %
Cabin pressure (Pa)
Door switch position
System pressure alarm
CO² alarm
Automatic or manual mode switching
System configuration
Total system run time
Alarm fault recording
Main filter & HEPA filter run-time and history
Commission installation information
Ability to add features over time

CleanCab App, Monitor From Any Device

The CleanCab Mobile App (available on Google Play) and CleanCab Web App connect via Bluetooth Low Energy to communicate directly with the pressure motor controller. Technicians and site managers can monitor cabin pressure, fan status, CO² levels, running times, and system diagnostics from a phone, tablet, or browser, without needing to be in the cab.

HEPA & Carbon Filter Replacements

Asset Armour supplies and installs replacement HEPA and Carbon filters to keep your cabin air filtration system performing to standard. All replacement filters are individually test certificated.

Hepa filter replacement

When a HEPA or Carbon filter is in use, it is fitted into the base of the CleanCab unit. Outside air is forced through the filter after passing through the PowerCore® primary filter, before being distributed to the air conditioning system for a breathe-safe workspace.

Upgraded CleanCab HEPA Filter, Released December 2025

CleanCab’s newly released one-piece HEPA filter replaces the previous three-piece design with several significant improvements:

  • 25% more surface area for improved airflow and extended filter service life
  • Individual paper test certificate and QR code supplied with each filter for easy online record access
  • Stainless-steel mesh on both top and bottom faces, reducing handling damage risk during installation
  • Fully retrofittable to all existing CleanCab pressuriser units
